TCF continues to stack the middleweight division with
signing top prospect Jason Gorny
– by TCF Staff Feb 10, 2010

Triple Crown Fighter continues its successful run at
recruiting top Canadian talent with the recent signing of
Jason Gorny.  Gorny, who will be making his HEAT XC
debut on February 26, is slated to take on Elliot Duff who's
also looking to make a statement with this fight.

Gorny has spent his entire career as a free agent and is
now calling Triple Crown Fighter home, “I feel great about
signing with an agency, especially one as good as Triple
Crown Fighter and having someone like Jake Hirsch
    taking
care of me. I can finally now just focus on becoming an overall better and well
rounded fighter and not stress about finding a fight, how much I’ll make,
sponsorships etc. Just knowing you’re being taken care of is a huge stress
reliever!”

Hirsch is just as excited about bringing Gorny aboard the team, “I have spoken
to Jason on a couple of occasions and really love his energy.  He’s very
hungry to fight and is always looking to push the action which is an agent’s
dream.  I like having a roster full of guys who want to fight...there’s nothing
worse than begging a guy to compete”.

When asked what goals Gorny has for this year, he was to the point, “My goals
are simple for 2010, train hard and develop as a fighter, and flat out knock
people’s blocks off to win and keep on winning”.  With that kind of attitude, its
clear what Gorny’s future holds, “I’d like to see him get a few more wins under
his belt and get on MFC’s live card.  I think once Jason finds his groove, he’ll
be a top contender in the Middleweight division” adds Hirsch.

As for Gorny’s background and training, he leaves it up to a very established
and experienced team, “I do mostly all of my training out of Frank Lee's Muay
Thai, training with great fighters and trainers such as George Awada, Kjedro
Noda, Nick Penner, Lenny Wheeler just to name a few. And having the great
Frank Lee himself watching my every step is kick ass in its own way.  There
are so many great fighters and trainers out of that gym that you can't help but
just get better with leaps and bounds. I also train my Jiu-Jitsu with BJJ Black
Belt Kyle Cardinal whenever I can and roll with Canadian sensation Nick
Penner, but Lenny Wheeler mostly.  The last piece of the puzzle and to the
woman who makes me have enough power and stamina to train 4 hours a
day is my strength and conditioning coach, Shara Vigeant out of SVPT. The
woman is go, go, go and there is never an easy day!”

It’s quite obvious that with Jason’s background and experience, he will be
making some serious waves this year and hopes to stay active in the fight
game.  But being humble is also a big part of Gorny’s reputation, always
remembering the people that have helped him become who he is today, “I just
wanna give a shout out to everyone who makes training happen. George,
without you man I’d still hit like a bitch haha, Frank Lee himself, Kjedro Noda,
Lenny Wheeler, Nick Penner, Kyle Cardinal, Shara Vigeant and to all the
fighters out of Frank Lee’s who I spar with day in and out, I thank you. The
biggest shout out for sure goes to my lovely girlfriend Alicia Dixon for all the
moral support, friends, family and my lil’ nephew Conner aka “Bam Bam” for
the simple fact that every time I’m feeling weak or tired, I picture that kid
slugging away on his heavy bag (he's 5) and I know that if I lose, I have to deal
with him haha. Last and not least though, without all the great fans out there
without your guys support, none of this would be real and I thank you for letting
me live my dream”.

Watch out for Jason on HEAT XC’s and Maximum Fighting Championship’s
combined card on Feb 26th at the River Cree Resort and Casino in
Edmonton, Alberta.  Visit www.triplecrownfighter.com , heatxc.com for details.
